Dr. Acosta is a dedicated physician who specializes in family medicine with a focus on women’s health. Originally from El Paso, Texas, she draws on her cultural heritage and bilingual fluency in English and Spanish to provide compassionate care to a diverse range of patients.

Education: Board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Acosta earned her medical degree from McGovern Medical School in Houston, followed by a family medicine residency at CHRISTUS Health Texas A&M, where she also completed a fellowship in obstetrics and women’s health. Her advanced training and certifications include Neonatal Resuscitation, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics.

Background: In addition to her clinical experience, Dr. Aosta served as assistant medical director at South Texas Family Planning Health Corporation and taught family medicine residents as faculty at CHRISTUS Health Texas A&M College of Medicine. She was also actively involved in research on maternal health outcomes and improving physician education on transgender health.

Dr. Acosta’s leadership, research, and volunteer work reflect her deep commitment to advancing the health of women and families and mentoring the next generation of healthcare providers.
