Dr. Nora Saavedra, a pediatrician at Vecino’s Airline Children’s Clinic, was recognized as the 2018 “Doctor of the Year” by Kids Developmental Clinic (KDC) – North Location. Each of KDC’s four clinics chooses a physician for the annual award, and Dr. Saavedra is the first to be given this honor by the newly-opened KDC North.
This will come as no surprise to Dr. Saavedra’s colleagues, as well as her young patients and their families, who consistently give praise for her high level of care.
“Dr. Saavedra goes above and beyond to serve her patients and accommodate their families,” says KDC clinic director Vicki Gilani. “She shows a deep commitment and compassion for their well being and treats her clients as a whole.”
Gilani points out that the award is a testament to the work not just of Dr. Saavedra, but of the staff who supports her. “It is evident that Dr. Saavedra and the staff at Vecino’s Airline Children’s Clinic are dedicated to their work and the children they serve.”
Kids Developmental Clinic is a licensed pediatric outpatient rehabilitation facility that offers physical, occupational, and speech therapy to children in the Houston area.
Dr. Nora Saavedra is a practicing and board-certified pediatrician at Vecino’s Airline Children’s Clinic. She received her medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical School and completed her pediatric residency at UT Houston Medical School. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is fluent in English and Spanish.
