Juan Olivares, Jr., MD
Director of Pediatrics, Vecino Health Centers
Board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Olivares received his medical degree in 2008 from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
He completed his residency at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston in 2011 and earned a BS in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Religion from Trinity University where he graduated Cum Laude.
Dr. Olivares is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and Texas Pediatric Society. He is the recipient of the Gold Foundation Resident Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award of 2011, the Community Health Research Fellow in the summer of 2005, and the Resident Teaching Award in 2009 and 2010. Dr. Olivares is fluent in English and Spanish.

Nora Saavedra, MD
Pediatrician, Vecino Health Centers
Dr. Saavedra received her medical degree in 2012 from UT Southwestern Medical School and completed her pediatric residency at UT Houston Medical School in 2015.
She attended Rice University and graduated in 2008 with a BA in Cognitive Sciences.
Dr. Saavedra is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is fluent in English and Spanish.

Clara Rosenzweig, M.Ed.
Director of Counseling Services, Vecino Health Centers
Mrs. Rosenzweig completed her undergraduate studies in clinical psychology at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and received a Master’s of Education in Counseling degree from the University of Houston. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board-Approved Supervisor in the state of Texas.
She has been a guest lecturer at the University of Houston in the areas of trauma, cross-cultural counseling, and family therapy, and she has led an experiential training group in therapy process for Master’s-level counseling students.
Mrs. Rosenzeweig’s bilingual and bicultural background in counseling and behavioral health has been instrumental in establishing services to meet the needs of Vecino’s pediatric patients and their families.

Airline Children & Women’s Health Center is part of the Vecino Health Centers network, a Federally Qualified Health Center.
Vecino Health Centers is a Health Center Program grantee under 42 U.S.C. 254B and a deemed Public Health Service Employee under 42 U.S.C. 233(g)-(n).
This health center receives HHS funding and has Federal PHS deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals.
